A powerful anchor for wood constructions in concrete

Fixings at the highest level

The Himalaya’s first emergency bivouac was set up in 2019 at an altitude of 5080 metres. Locals and climbers have since used it for shelter in Nepal’s Rolwaling region. 24 cartridges of fischer’s injection mortar FIS SB High Speed 290 S were used in order to secure the emergency shelter in the midst of the mountains. They anchor the “legs” of the David Lama bivouac in the rock together with M 20 threaded rods.

The fixings industry is fixing its future

The 9th fischer Expert Forum was the meeting venue for the construction and fixings industry. Over 100 guests from the fields of research, inspection, industry and engineering firms as well as authorities and executing firms discussed industry trends at the fischer Group of Companies’ headquarters in Tumlingen from 23rd to 24th January. Renowned speakers highlighted the latest research findings and practical applications. Key subjects included BIM (Building Information Modelling), current fixings regulations and designs, anchorings under extreme conditions as well as the compliant use of anchors in specialist areas exposed to chemicals.
