fischer’s range of screws

Meeting high demands

Wood is becoming increasingly popular as a construction material, with even multi-storey buildings being made out of wood. Constructors have to create powerful and safe connections for this purpose. fischer’s wood construction screws help to achieve this in a quick and reliable manner – with additional security through the European Technical Assessment (ETA). A broad range of products provides the right screw for every use case in regard to the diameter, length, head variant, drive, thread, coating, material resistance and all other criteria.

The name speaks for itself: fischer Power-Fast
The potential uses of the Power-Fast partial-thread screws comprise wooden frame construction, wood facades, indoor and terrace plank floors, facade and on-roof insulation systems and many more.  The new corrosion-resistant Power-Fast variants made of stainless steel (A2 and A4) with countersunk and disk heads are especially suited for outdoors use – and officially so, thanks to the European Technical screw assessment’s classification (ETA-11/0027) for utility class 3 in accordance with Eurocode 5. Amongst other things, the EC5 regulates the weather resilience of wood construction components after installation and provides evidence of structural stability with the correct load-bearing capacity.

Alongside powerful wood construction screws, the Power-Fast group also includes high-performance chipboard screws, for example for fastening board materials and solid woods or skirting boards.

For demanding connections: fischer Power-Full
The specialist fields of the Power-Full wood construction screws include demanding connections and the reinforcement of load-bearing wooden constructions.  The full thread makes the screw suitable for optimal force transmission.

The ease of installation of the fischer screws is particularly noteworthy. Drill bits, head types, thread geometries and slide coatings attuned to fixing projects enable quick and safe installation – usually enabling installation without pre-drilling in pinewood, for example. This saves time, effort and battery power. Pre-drilling can be done if desired or needed – and is mandatory in hardwood when using the fischer Power-Fast. Gap-free and splinter-free fastenings close to the edge can also be carried out without issue.

fischer also offers other screws alongside the Power-Fast and Power-Full types, for example for the installation of terrace decking boards, flap joints, MDF boards or for laying decking.

Simple design with WOOD-FIX
Because fischer sees itself as a holistic system supplier, the company also supports users during the planning and measurement of fixing solutions. The WOOD-FIX module is a component of the FIXPERIENCE design and construction software family which supports the simple and reliable calculation of wood connections and reinforcements with fischer screws as well as the design of on-roof insulation system installation, including the determination of applicable wind and snow load zones. Users in Germany can automatically access this feature by entering a postcode.
