“As a partner of the multi-vendor CAS battery pack cooperation we are venturing on new paths towards cordless construction sites”, says Florian Birkenmayer, Speaker of the Board of Directors fixing systems for the fischer Group of Companies. Thanks to CAS, the new fischer cordless impact wrench FSS 18V can be used with the same battery pack and charger as the machines of twelve additional power tool and machine manufacturers so far. “Professional users therefore always have the right product for any standard or specialist task at hand”, says Florian Birkenmayer.

There are further advantages: “CAS gives users more mobility and safety as it allows them to work further away from power outlets while avoiding tripping hazards through cables. Users can also switch between products while using the same charger and battery pack, which allows them to be significantly more flexible and productive”, Florian Birkenmayer states. The tools and machines within CAS cover almost every trade and operate with a high degree of efficiency based on Metabo’s battery pack technology – the most powerful battery pack technology available on the market thanks to LiHD. CAS was launched approximately one year ago on the initiative of the power tool manufacturer from Nürtingen, Germany. The alliance already has 13 partners, including fischer. A further four companies have already joined the alliance and are developing products based on CAS.

Emphasis on the system concept

As a system supplier fischer provides its customers with a comprehensive range for safe and economic connections on the construction site. “The CAS cooperation fits in perfectly with our concept, as we also place the emphasis on the system concept. CAS allows the users to not only use our latest cordless impact wrench FSS 18V, but also around 140 additional machines with the same high-power battery pack, which is innovative, economic and time-saving”, Florian Birkenmayer says.

Reinforcement for CAS

fischer’s broad range of products includes the right solution for all manner of fixing tasks. It includes fixing systems in the chemical, steel and plastics industry, screws, drills, adhesives, sealants and foams as well as product ranges for specialist applications such as facade and thermal insulation systems, HVAC and electrical installations. These are all industries which are also relevant to the other CAS partner firms. “fischer is an important reinforcement for CAS”, says Horst W. High performance in two variants

In addition to the fast and secure installation of the fischer concrete screws ULTRACUT FBS II, the new cordless impact wrenches FSS 18V are also suitable for steel-steel connections.

The high-performance devices are available in two variants: The FSS 18V 400 BL has a torque of 400 newton metres and a brushless motor. The torque can also be regulated according to the diameter of the ULTRACUT FBS II. The FSS 18V 600 has a torque of 600 newton metres and is therefore ideal for installations with fischer concrete screws in diameters of 10 to 14.

Professional users therefore a receive an all-round carefree package for the fast installation of concrete screws. The ULTRACUT FBS II concrete screws are approved for many different anchoring depths according to their diameter and the existing load. There are also various head types, zinc-plated and stainless steel variants, 6-mm-diameter versions especially for redundant fixings, and many more. The concrete screws can be adjusted and can be reused in certain conditions. fischer therefore always offers the right ULTRACUT FBS II for almost any type of application. All fischer concrete screws in diameters of 6 to 14 mm can be used with the corresponding cordless impact wrench FSS 18V. The fischer equipment case is supplied free of charge with the cordless impact wrench FSS 18V and includes suitable accessories such as belt hooks, sockets, checking gauges and much more. This makes installation easier and facilitates the disassembly of the ULTRACUT FBS II while testing its reusability. The robust L-Boxx equipment case also allows several compatible cases to be stacked on top of each other so they can easily be transported on the construction site.
