A craftsman screws in a ladder spoke before climbing up. Before crossing through a tunnel, he screws in the protruding screws. Man and tool practically fly their way through the course. Additional screws are inserted overhead into a target midway through a jump off a trampoline.

What may seem like an action scene from the latest blockbuster is in fact a snippet from the latest video created by the fischer Group of Companies. The film shows what can be achieved with the PowerFast II screw – Mission: Possible! The craftsman runs through a spectacular parkour course. A bit of technical skill along with the PowerFast II screw allow any obstacle to be overcome and fixing task to be mastered, such as fastening ladder spokes without any splitting whatsoever, despite the small edge spacing. Protruding screws can be neatly inserted in narrow tunnels so that they don’t stand out by a single millimetre. Its fast bite and short screw-in time allow the PowerFast II to be inserted into a target midway through a jump off a trampoline. Last but not least, the screw’s high load-bearing capacity provides a major advantage when fastening handles to walls – whether they are made of concrete or wood. The final scene shows a roof truss being set up in record time.

The clips show that the fischer Power-Fast II is the ideal companion on the construction site for timber construction specialists, carpenters and joiners. Its wide range of applications is a unique feature, as the Power-Fast II can be used for all types of wood on wood and wood on metal connections as well as in fischer plastic plugs with verified loads. This works in favour of the craftsman seen in the film, as he can screw the metal handle to the wall and implement every other fastening in wood. The advantage for the user is that they only need a single screw for multiple fixing tasks, saving time and storage space as there is no need to store many different individual products.

The PowerFast II guarantees high retention forces as well as quick and simple installation without splitting the workpiece or damaging surfaces, including when working with low edge and axial spacing. All of its technical features, such as the thread, shank rib, and specialist geometry beneath the head have been finetuned to perfectly integrate into the overall design, which was presented with the German Design Award 2020, the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2020 and the Focus Open 2020 – International Design Award Baden-Württemberg.

Users who would like to try out the screw themselves will soon have the opportunity to do so at participating retailers, where test stations await professionals who would like to put their skills to the test by screwing the PowerFast II into different wood materials under varying conditions. Visitors can also expect an atmospheric store design accentuated by the films being shown on screens, the test stations and many additional design features at the point of sale. It's also worth visiting fischer’s online and social media channels, where the latest updates can be found on the PowerFast II campaign.
