High performance with little effort

Wood constructors and carpenters can use the concrete screws in order to install support beams, to anchor frame elements, to fix eaves purlins, and many more.

The borehole and thread diameter have been matched to one another so that the screw creates its own internal thread in the concrete.  This locking mechanism leads to an excellent load transfer and anchoring free of expansion pressure that enables low edge and axial spacing. Its special geometry additionally provides high tensile load capacities even with fewer anchoring points – therefore saving materials and time.

The ULTRACUT FBS II is used with the push-through method of installation. Its optimised special thread allows it to quickly cut into the anchoring substrate, enabling simple and safe installation. No drill hole cleaning is required when drilling in floors and ceilings or when using hollow drills with a suction function. When drilling in floors however, the borehole should be set three drill diameters lower. The ULTRACUT FBS II can be unscrewed and reinserted twice by up to 20 mm in order to readjust it without being damaged. The possibility of using the ULTRACUT FBS II multiple times in temporary fixings – even in green concrete – provides further flexibility.  Checking the thread with a corresponding measuring sleeve can determine wear and tear.

The concrete screw is made of zinc-plated steel and covers a broad spectrum of applications with its various diameters (8, 10, 12 and 14) and head shapes (hexagonal and flat head). Depending on the version, it can be assembled with two anchoring depths (8) or in three different anchor depths (10, 12, 14). This allows a flexible choice of suitable screws for the given loads and the available component thickness.

Its assessment (ETA) covers its use in cracked concrete, the fire-resistance class R120 as well as the C1 and C2 seismic performance categories.
