fisco ramp systems provide people with reduced mobility with safe, independent and convenient access to public transport. Made of glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GRP), the all-in-one system’s advantages include accessibility, resilience, durability and functionality with flexible and efficient applications tailored to the requirements of the customer and projects and the needs of the users. The practical and lightweight all-in-one solutions are particularly quick and easy to install due to their modular setup.

Accessible infrastructure is key to an inclusive society. Ramp systems by fisco GmbH, which is fully owned by the fischer Group of Companies, contribute to making public transport safe, independent and convenient to access for people with reduced mobility. Partial platform elevations guarantee accessible boarding and alighting in subways, commuter trains, trams as well as in buses. Certified accessibility as per DIN 18040 and the assessed building material class Bfl s1 under DIN EN 13501-1 to classify fire behaviour provide added safety.

The basic platform ramp is standardised to keep manufacturing costs low. Various fisco ramp solutions made using an in-house manufacturing process can be supplied as a standard modular system. With their modular setup, there are various options to tailor their height, width and length with customisable colours, symbols and non-slip coating (R11-R13). The ramp systems can thereby be configured freely to take into account on-site specifications, ground conditions, customer and project-specific requirements as well as user needs. 

The ramp systems are able to compensate for different heights between the tram and the platform, uneven surfaces and gaps of different sizes between the platform and the vehicle. fisco even provides suitable ramps for many different inner and outer curves where many stops are located. 

As it comes delivered as an all-in-one solution, the ramp makes installation quicker and easier. Made of GRP, the lightweight ramps are easy to install, weighing just around 10 kg per individual element. They also offer a high degree of certified slip protection and are hard-wearing, highly resilient, electrically non-conductive, non-magnetic, antistatic, heat, corrosion, UV and media-resistant and particularly user-friendly thanks to their very low leading edge. Even with heavy daily use, the ramps still look visually appealing years later. 

An innovative fixing method enables simple, quick and secure fastening to various existing floors, such as cobblestone, while only requiring a few fastening points in the substrate and enabling flexible drill hole positioning. fisco’s experts support customers with projects such as accessible stops from the initial idea, research and development stage to manufacturing and providing on-site support, no matter whether it’s an individual profile or a system solution. This results in lasting and secure ramp systems for various stops that are efficient and easy to install and that allow passengers with reduced mobility, such as wheelchair users, to board and exit trams independently and safely.
