The industry year gets off to an innovative start with the BAU trade fair from 13 to 17 January 2025 in Munich. Fastening expert fischer will be prominently represented with its stand 217 in hall A1. With its largest trade fair stand at BAU to date, the company is making a clear commitment to the industry. On 368 m², the exhibitor will present its premieres of products, system solutions and services with a focus on the applications of timber and steel construction, renovation and reinforcement of buildings, façades as well as large-scale projects and planning expertise. On the 45 m² show stage, the fastening professional organizes live shows with its BauBot construction robot and holds challenges for tradespeople.

fischer is presenting a wide range of premieres and innovations at BAU in Hall A1, Stand 217. On the show stage, visitors will experience first-hand how the fischer BauBot construction robot increases efficiency and ergonomics on construction sites. The innovative helper enables fully automatic drilling and cleaning of drill holes in walls, floors and ceilings and will soon also be able to mark the holes and install fischer fixing solutions. In alternating live shows, the exhibitor presents its BauBot and organizes craftsman challenges. The fischer BAU trade fair presentation is also interactive with its large product test area. Here, visitors can try out numerous fischer innovations in various building materials for themselves.

Innovations for timber construction
Anyone who wants to can experience in practice how easily, quickly and safely nails can be set in wood with the gas actuated fischer FGW 90F setting tool. Visitors can also try out and explore various fischer wood construction screws, chipboard screws and adjusting screws. These make it possible to flexibly join wood in all its facets and get the most out of the material. The fischer UltraCut FBS II concrete screws are also a practical and exhibition topic. Different versions are suitable for different loads or for bridging thick add-on parts when anchoring add-on parts made of wood and steel to concrete. Also available for testing is the fischer FSW adjusting disc, which can be used in conjunction with the UltraCut FBS II hexagon head US in diameter 10 (gvz) and the PowerFast FPF-PT wood connector screw to adjust beams and sleepers with the greatest of ease. Clever for aligning purlins or alignment timbers on usually uneven floor slabs or concrete foundations, and thus for levelling roof trusses and prefabricated houses, for instance.

A new approval or European Technical Assessment (ETA) for an existing system brings progress for timber engineering: The fischer injection system FIS EM Plus is now also suitable for the approval-compliant bonding of FIS A anchor rods or flush-bonded FIS IG internally threaded anchors and enables the transfer of high loads and a wide range of applications for different, even invisible, connections and reinforcements in timber. Real exhibits also illustrate the application advantages of the new fischer solar systems for the installation of solar systems on pitched roofs with different coverings as well as arrangements and orientations of the PV modules. System solutions consisting of rails, roof hooks, clamps, hanger bolts and accessories cover all requirements, offer high application flexibility, score points for ease of installation and guarantee high product quality for long-lasting safety and functionality.

Pioneering solutions for steel construction
Visitors can experience fischer Construction Monitoring. The innovative combination of intuitive monitoring application and the powerful, sensor-integrated fasteners SensorAnchor, SensorDisc and the new SensorBolt makes it possible to monitor the condition of fastening points on structures and systems at any time, even remotely, on a PC or smartphone. This results in increased maintenance efficiency, greater safety, less downtime and a longer service life for the objects.

Anyone who wants to can try out how the fischer FXC 85 (battery actuated) and FGC 100 (gas actuated) setting tools speed up and simplify fixing in concrete, steel and other anchoring surfaces. The wide range of fischer steel anchors on show also includes the UltraCut FBS II concrete screws and the FAZ II Plus bolt anchors for introducing high loads into concrete.

Furthermore, fischer will be showing solutions for industrial plant construction, such as the chemical highbond anchor fischer FHB dyn, for whose use in steel fibre concrete fischer has now received the extension of the general type approval (aBG) for dynamically stressed applications. A fixing for systems that work with water-polluting substances will also be presented: The fischer injection mortar FIS EM Plus is suitable for use in FD/FDE concrete (aBG) and coated concrete (aBG). It therefore enables anchoring in WHG sealing surfaces (in accordance with the Water Resources Act).

Product premieres for building refurbishment
fischer presents problem solvers for one of the biggest challenges in the construction industry: the renovation and maintenance of existing structures in order to utilize them sustainably. Products for structural reinforcement with carbon fibre reinforced polymers (CFRP) and carbon fibre fabrics (CF) increase the structural safety of reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete structures and extend their service life. The economical and easy-to-install solutions can be used for a wide range of applications, whether in infrastructure structures or in buildings. There are also new mortars for concrete repair to reprofile damaged concrete coverings and components or to fill voids and holes in concrete components.

In addition, fischer will be presenting systems for creating subsequent reinforcement connections, such as the easy-to-use and economical injection mortar FIS RC II and the high-quality epoxy resin mortar FIS EM Plus. fischer will also be presenting innovative concrete topping solutions for increasing the load-bearing capacity of reinforced concrete ceilings and bridge structures. Also on show: The new fischer FCC-B bridge cap anchor for applications in bridge renovation projects.

Progress on façade
On the basis of exhibits, fischer will be showing its wide range of complete solutions for fixing any cladding material in the ventilated rainscreen cladding (VHF). In addition to visible fixings, the FZP II undercut anchors on show are suitable for concealed, aesthetic and - compared to conventional edge fixings - statically optimized fixing of any façade panels.

In a wall exhibit, fischer will be demonstrating the advantages of its new PV clips including FSMN M8 R sliding nut for secure, simple, fast and visually appealing fixing of framed PV modules to all common substrates and substructures. The ATK 103 PV horizontal agraffe profiles are also on display. The solutions accelerate the construction progress by pre-assembling the agraffes on the back of the PV modules with special screws and their geometry precisely matched to the horizontal profile. The complete systems of matched products and tested and approved individual components include a comprehensive programme of substructure solutions, which will also be shown separately at fischer BWM's own stand 423 in hall A2 at BAU.

Innovative fischer solutions for fixing façade systems will be presented to a wide audience for the first time. Among other things, fischer FES anchor channels will be on show, which guarantee high security and load-bearing capacity as a fixing solution set in concrete when anchoring curtain wall elements in concrete thanks to positive locking. Together with the fischer FBC hammer-head screws, the add-on parts are attached and fixed. Also on the agenda: the comprehensive fischer FireStop portfolio of product solutions that effectively prevent the spread of fire, smoke and toxic gases in the event of a fire. The easy-to-install and efficient system solutions can be used to safely construct curtain walls and VHF, for example. Another real exhibit shows a selection from the wide range of fischer insulation fixings for various external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS). Also on show are installation elements that can be used to securely fasten light to medium-weight add-on parts to the ETICS without thermal bridges.
