Numerous visitors came to the largest ever BAU trade fair stand of the fastening expert fischer. The company presented its fastening world on around 370 m² at its stand 217 in hall A1. The fastening expert opened up new dimensions at BAU and made a clear commitment to the industry. Shows with the fischer construction robot BauBot, craftsman challenges and product tests ensured interaction, live experiences, new insights and lasting impressions.
“Our BAU trade fair appearance was a complete success”, summarizes Michael Geiszbühl, Managing Director of fischer Deutschland Vertriebs GmbH. “We are delighted with the large influx of visitors. The personal exchange on site with long-standing partners as well as new interested parties was very valuable and inspiring for us. We are taking a lot of impulses and ideas with us and are already looking forward to further activities in the industry year 2025, where the focus is always on joint success with our partners.”
The program items on the 45 m² show stage attracted a large audience. Presenter Jens Pflüger (ARD, Hessischer Rundfunk, among others) and Uwe Moser, fischer Key Account Manager, demonstrated the advantages of the fischer BauBot construction robot in live shows and expert talks. Visitors experienced the intelligent helper in action during autonomous drilling. The BauBot shows alternated with craftsmen competitions. Moderated by Jens Pflüger and Roberto Weyda, fischer application engineer in the field service, two teams of two competed against each other for time to solve fastening tasks and win attractive prizes.
Another crowd-puller was the large product test area. Visitors made extensive use of the opportunity to try out selected fischer products in various building materials. In addition to the latest plastic and steel fixing solutions and screws, the range also included tools for direct fixings. The gas-actuated setting tool FGW 90F, which can be used to set nails easily, quickly and securely in wood, was available for testing. Also there: fischer FXC 85 (battery-actuated) and FGC 100 (gas-actuated) setting tools, which speed up and simplify fastening in concrete, steel and other anchoring surfaces.
fischer presented market launches for the renovation and maintenance of existing structures with a consistently positive response. Economic and easy-to-install products for structural reinforcement with carbon fiber-reinforced polymers (CFRP) laminates and carbon fiber fabrics (CF) were presented to the broad BAU trade audience for the first time. Whether infrastructure structures or buildings, these versatile solutions can be used to increase the structural safety of reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete structures and extend their service life. Also included was a completely new range of mortars for concrete repair to reprofile damaged concrete coverings and components or to fill voids and holes in concrete components. Concrete topping solutions for increasing the load-bearing capacity of reinforced concrete ceilings and bridge structures as well as injection systems for creating subsequent reinforcement connections were also part of the program. Also included: The fischer FCC-B bridge cap anchor for renovation projects in bridge construction.
fischer complete solutions for fixing any cladding material in the ventilated rainscreen façade, which fischer demonstrated with exhibits, were very popular. In addition to visible and concealed fixings, this includes a comprehensive range of substructure solutions, which were also on display separately at fischer BWM's own stand 423 in hall A2 at BAU. The exhibitor was clearly on trend with its façade systems for solar façades. These include new PV clips including connector FSMN M8 R and horizontal agraffe profiles ATK 103 PV. The fischer FES anchor channels were very well received by visitors. As a fixing solution set in concrete, they guarantee high security and load-bearing capacity when anchoring curtain wall façade elements in concrete thanks to their positive locking. Together with the fischer FBC channel bolts, the add-on parts are attached and fixed. The fischer FireStop portfolio of passive fire protection products also attracted a lot of attention from visitors. The fischer insulation fixings for various external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS) and the mounting elements for secure and thermal bridge-free fixing of light to medium-weight attachments to ETICS were also in great demand.
fischer innovations in the field of roofing and wood for connecting, reinforcing and bonding aroused great interest. This included the latest timber construction, chipboard and adjusting screws. fischer presented a system solution for adjusting beams and sleepers with the fischer adjusting washer FWS in combination with the UltraCut FBS II hexagon head US in diameter 10 (gvz) and the wood connector screw PowerFast FPF-PT. In addition, fischer showed that the FIS EM Plus injection system is now also suitable for bonding FIS A anchor rods or flush-bonded FIS IG internally threaded anchors into timber in accordance with the approval (approval, ETA). This opens up high load ranges and a wide variety of applications in timber engineering. Real exhibits also illustrated the application advantages of the new fischer solar systems for mounting differently aligned and arranged PV modules on differently covered pitched roofs.
The fischer Construction Monitoring was successfully demonstrated. The combination of intuitive monitoring application and the strong, sensor-integrated fasteners SensorAnchor, SensorDisc and SensorBolt makes it possible to monitor the condition of fastening points in structures and systems at any time, even remotely, on a PC or smartphone. Furthermore, fischer showed the chemical highbond anchor fischer FHB dyn, which is now also approved for dynamically stressed applications in steel fiber reinforced concrete (aBG). The exhibited fischer injection mortar FIS EM Plus is also suitable for use in FD/FDE concrete (aBG) and coated concrete (aBG) for anchoring in WHG sealing surfaces (in accordance with the Water Resources Act). The range of fischer steel anchors presented included the UltraCut FBS II concrete screws and the FAZ II Plus bolt anchors for introducing high loads into concrete.
The company also talked extensively with visitors about its 360-degree services, which it uses to support customers with their projects from planning and execution to documentation and construction monitoring.
