A secure bank with heavy loads

Another spectacular building is currently being constructed close to the famous Harpa Concert and Opera Hall in Iceland’s capital city of Reykjavik: The new building of Iceland’s Landsbankinn. The rear-ventilated façade is clad with heavy basalt stone panels and is given a permanent and secure hold thanks to an all-in-one solution consisting of fischer undercut anchors and a fischer/BWM substructure.

A project partner for tunnel construction

The fischer Group of Companies will be presenting a selection of fixing and system solutions and services for tunnel construction projects at the World Tunnel Congress in Athens from 15 to 18 May. In addition to steel and chemical heavy-duty fixings, the exhibition stand in Zone D, booth L6 will also feature installation and fire protection systems in addition to inserts (fischer anchor channels). fischer’s experts will also be speaking to visitors about its services, which include supporting its partners throughout every construction phase until the project’s successful completion.

A building with a past and a future

Large parts of the Procuratie Vecchie (Old Procuracies) in Saint Mark’s Square, Venice, are being opened to the public for the first time in 500 years. The aim is to strengthen the connection between the famous building, the town and its visitors. The Procuratie palace has been restored over five years. fischer’s fastening products were used to reinforce ceilings and replace old fastenings such as wooden pegs and riveted joints as well as for many other applications.

A firm anchor above the Alpine abyss

Piz da Peres, meaning ‘stone peak’ in Ladin, is the name of a new via ferrata in San Vigilio (Enneberg) in the Italian province of Bolzano. fischer’s FIS EM Plus epoxy resin mortars and the new fischer battery-operated dispenser FIS DB S Pro were used to anchor the wire ropes and steps into the rock.
