“I am very pleased with the TOP 100 award. It highlights the fact that our company is among the top SMEs in Germany in terms of products, services, process innovation and corporate culture”, says Prof. Klaus Fischer. Above all, he considers the award to be an acknowledgement for the entire workforce.

The award presentation took part during the 6th German SME Summit in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Marc-Sven Mengis, CEO, and Michael Geiszbühl, Managing Director Sales and Marketing, were presented with the award by Ranga Yogeshwar, TOP 100 mentor and scientific journalist, as well as by chief scientist Prof. Nikolaus Franke.

The TOP 100 accolade has been awarded since 1993. It is the only competition to honour innovation management in manufacturing and service provision companies in equal measures. Chief scientist Prof. Franke and his team from the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Vienna University of Economics and Business determine their results on the basis of around 120 criteria. “On the one hand we examine previously implemented and successful innovations while on the other hand we look at the innovation management organisation, which is almost even more important. The degree of professionalism within innovation management allows us to evaluate the future potential for innovation”, Prof. Franke says in regard to the methodology.

TOP 100 mentor Ranga Yogeshwar only considers a company to be “equipped for the future once it is prepared to continuously change. We need a comprehensive new culture that originates in stability through change instead of through stagnation“. The fischer Group of Companies therefore regards the TOP 100 award as an incentive for the continued improvement of all processes. “We are going to precisely analyse and take stock of our innovation and apply it in order to further develop our activities”, Prof. Fischer emphasises. “This results in new ideas and approaches which we can implement for the benefit of our customers”.
