“We are consistently implementing our internationalisation strategy with our 50th subsidiary”, says Prof. Klaus Fischer. The owner of the fischer Group of Companies has been steadily expanding the company’s international commercial activities since becoming its General Director over 40 years ago. At the time, the company generated a turnover equivalent to around 50 million Euro with around 1,000 employees. In 2020, fischer employed around 5,200 employees who generated a turnover of 872 million Euro – 75% of which was generated overseas. “This development was fundamentally shaped by decades of international corporate expansion. This allowed us to develop our products and services in line with the needs and requirements of customers and markets across the globe”. Although the company’s Research and Development centre remains in Germany, new marketable products have long been developed around the globe. 

The subsidiary’s Managing Director Amit Malhotra had invited guests to a digital event to mark the launch and to introduce customers and partners to his team along with fischer’s range of services. Most of the guests were already familiar with fischer fixings products by having procured them through a local partner firm in the past. Guests were given many insights during the event. The fixings specialist offers suitable services ranging from consultation, design, planning and approval procedures as well as services including logistics and on-site support. The company’s fixings solutions were also introduced, and participants were given a glimpse of new products. 

Numerous guests also took the opportunity to warmly welcome fischer to Qatar. They had prepared messages containing their best wishes to the delight of the fischer team in the capital city Doha. 

The subsidiary’s offices in Qatar are located in the modern HUB Business Center. Two warehouses are also part of the subsidiary. The world’s technological market leader in key fields of fixings technology has thereby set the course to further expand its success in the region. 

Qatar’s construction industry is expanding, including the extensive expansion of its metro network, which will take several more years. fischer has already provided many fixings and installation systems for tunnel and station constructions.
