fischer came out on top among more than 130 companies from various industries over the course of a two-step benchmarking process, demonstrating that efficient and resource-saving production belong together. “Sustainability has now become a stable asset rather than a niche idea and will be even more decisive to success in the market in future. It is certainly noticeable that the industry is also assuming social responsibility”, says Daniel Reichert, Director of the award.

Last Thursday, Christian Ziegler, Head of Sustainability, Environment and Energy, Christian Wurster, Head of Operative Excellence and fischer ProcessSystem and Maximilian Bronner, Managing Director at the fischer Group of Companies, accepted the award in Leipzig. “The Lean & Green Management Award and our benchmarking against other top companies are an ideal opportunity for us to regularly and critically review the combination of lean and sustainability management that is so fundamental to us. We’re really pleased with the jury’s acknowledgement of our holistic approach, which provides us with added motivation to continue working on these issues”, Maximilian Bronner emphasises.

The winners of a total of five categories all exhibit excellent processes, versatile best practice solutions and pioneering strategies while preventing waste and increasing efficiency. In addition to fischer, these include Volkswagen de México, DMG MORI, Festo and Schaltbau. The award has been presented since 2012.
