Company owner Prof. Klaus Fischer opened the ceremonial event which was attended by over 300 guests. In his speech he looked back on the successful development of the Czech fischer sites, highlighting the positive influence of the new building on the region. “We now have sufficient means to optimally carry out processes here in the Czech Republic”, said Prof. Fischer.

The company received a special honour with a visit by the Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka and by the vice-chairman of the committee of the senate Ivo Bárek. Both emphasised the huge significance of the modern new construction. “This new production facility is an impressive symbol for progress in the region”, praised Prime Minister Sobotka. Senator Bárek, who provided significant support for the approval of the new building, added: “Prof. Fischer’s decision to further develop the fischer site in the Czech Republic with this production facility is a wonderful sign”. The two guests of honour subsequently cut a red ribbon together with Prof. Fischer in the presence of all employees to officially inaugurate the site.

The new construction and the renovation of the existing buildings enable the comprehensive optimisation of all production processes, further increasing the competitive advantage of fischer Czech Republic. The project, which is set to span several years, has a usable floor space of 7,200 square metres. The modernisation of the machinery alone received significant investment in order to guarantee the technological advancement of the fischer group of companies. Furthermore, cooperation with headquarters in Germany and with Czech educational facilities will also be further intensified. Thanks to a cooperation with the Brno University of Technology, the newly set up development department in Ivanovice da Hané ensures that there will be further extraordinary innovations in the fixings market in future.

The subsidiary also features a comprehensive range of services that includes intensive technical support as well as thorough training programmes. fischer Czech Republic currently employs approximately 750 employees.
