Setting up chain reactions with fischertechnik Funny Machines

Domino effect fun

The setup process alone is fun! The colourful fischertechnik parts turn into an adventurous course in no time and can be expanded at will.

Then things really get moving. The small car hits a chicane which turns a wheel. This releases a falling weight which in turn sets a ball in motion onto a rail. At the end of this rail another ball is set into motion on a track which speeds things up: the ball sets off an additional ball into a course through a so-called Gauss cannon. This culminates in an impressive cascade spanning multiple levels. At the end of the merry chain of events a ball falls through a funnel from the top level and into a container which triggers a catapult through a lever mechanism which launches the ball into the goal.

Three different chain reaction models can be set up with the fischertechnik Funny Machines construction kit. This helps children to develop their motor skills and get to know physical elements in a playful manner.

The chain reactions can be expanded through many additional chicanes and chains of events so that nothing can stand in the way of a new world record. The bright and cheerful course is suitable for children aged 7 and above. Ideas and inspirations can be found on the fischertechnik website www.fischertechnik.de.
