Simple robot programming can be carried out with the new First Coding school construction kit by fischertechnik. Pupils at primary level can learn the principles of robotics and IT. The construction kit contains in-depth explanations on the topic and simple exercises.

A total of three different robot models can be built with fischertechnik First Coding. The construction kit contains everything that fully functional driving robots could need: components to assemble it, a fully assembled chassis with motors, controllers and infrared sensors as well as buttons and a battery compartment. There is no need for complex wiring.

With its age-appropriate tasks, First Coding enhances any primary school lesson and conveys how simple programming works in a playful manner. Once the small robots have been assembled they can run across the provided parcours. Commands are programmed via tablet or smartphone beforehand. The robots can also be remote-controlled through the fischertechnik app or run pre-stored routes through a teach-in function and can be connected to smartphones or tablets via Bluetooth. The programming interface has an age-appropriate design, making it easy to use. This involves connecting individual programming blocks used to control the robot. Sound effects and a sound-controlled function complete the concept.

Comprehensive teaching materials and explanations on this topic as well as eleven different exercises provide a full basis for a successful lesson.
