With two winning construction kits, fischertechnik is particularly well represented at this year's German Toy Award. The toy manufacturer is once again addressing pioneering topics that lay the foundation for future professionals. The Early Coding construction kit is the overall winner and also won first place in the Toys and Technology category. The child-friendly construction kit makes simple robot programming possible. Its fun fantasy robots are easy to assemble and even easier to programme and control. A child-friendly graphic programming interface soon provides successful results, and the robot moves in the programmed direction upon stringing commands together. 

A total of three different models can be built with fischertechnik Early Coding. The construction kit contains everything that fully functional driving robots could need: Components to assemble it, a complete chassis with two motors, a controller with a Bluetooth interface, two infrared track sensors as well as two obstacle detection buttons and a battery compartment. There is no need for complex wiring. Early Coding is suitable for children aged 5 and above and offers a playful introduction to the world of informatics.

The fischertechnik Junior Engineer construction kit meanwhile won over the jury of the German Toy Award in the category titled For the Youngest. It offers fun and enjoyment with twelve different models such as a solar helicopter, a lunar vehicle and a solar boat. The comprehensive set containing child-friendly instructions gives young tinkerers insights into technology topics and renewable energies. In addition to the standard building blocks to build the models, Junior Engineer also contains a solar rotor, a pneumatic cylinder and the fischertechNik figure.

The German Toy Award has been presented on an annual basis to new, innovative, high-quality toys of educational value for over twenty years. Winners in 5 categories and the best overall toy of 2022 are selected among 44 toys through online votes and jury assessments. A total of five fischertechnik construction kits were nominated for awards in various categories this year.
