With the new fischertechnik STEM Coding Pro learning concept, teachers can plan hands-on robotics lessons for general studies. STEM Coding Pro provides an introduction to the fundamentals of informatics and encourages the development of reflective skills.
With the STEM Coding Pro learning concept developed specifically by fischertechnik for primary level, robotics and STEM skills can be taught in a sustainable way while simultaneously developing skills such as critical thinking and initiative. The set provides an ideal introduction to programming in lessons.
Twelve everyday models, ranging from traffic lights, barriers and barcode scanners, can be built with the 147 parts. The models can be easily assembled and equipped with various electronic and digital components. A controller processes the digital and analogue signals from the sensors, issuing commands with which the actuators contained in the set can be controlled.
The gear elements included in the learning concept create a connection with mechanical processes such as load transmission. The models can be programmed in Scratch with the user-friendly fischertechnik Coding Pro app.
Videos on how to get started with the controller and programming provide an easy introduction for learners and teachers alike. Instruction manuals and tasks for pupils are available in the Coding Pro app.
fischertechnik STEM Coding Pro was developed by a team of experienced teachers, engineers and computer scientists. A comprehensive range of learning materials with curriculum references come equipped with lesson plans and are available free of charge at www.fischertechnik.de.
fischertechnik learning concepts for schools
The new fischertechnik learning concepts help convey relevant learning objectives in STEM subjects in line with abilities and the curriculum through stimulating and exciting lessons. The learning concepts range from years 1 to 13 in primary and secondary schools through to vocational training and higher education. fischertechnik thereby enables schools of every kind to successfully navigate the digital transformation and deliver key future skills. Young people learn skills such as critical thinking, reflective skills, problem-solving, initiative and creativity.
fischertechnik’s reputation for combining successful learning with fun has led teachers and psychologists at the Transfer Center for Neurosciences and Learning (ZNL) to recommend fischertechnik’s educational construction kits for Germany’s Spielen macht Schule school initiative.
In addition to toy sets and educational construction kits specifically designed for school lessons, fischertechnik also offers preassembled, compact function and simulation models for training and demonstration purposes. Training, development or presentations: fischertechnik’s training models are used across the globe for planning and simulations. They can be used to plan, develop and test industrial processes and offer versatile uses, particularly in the field of Industry 4.0.
