In 2016 fischertechnik continued its strategy of seizing pioneering topics and trends and supporting the specialized trade sale through versatile promotions such as display window packages and comprehensive product training. One example is the fischertechnik 3D printer, which was introduced in summer 2016 and whose commercial success significantly exceeded expectations.

In 2017 the toy manufacturer will present new, universally-applicable design parts which will give the models a whole new dynamic. 2017 is the year of fischertechnik vehicles: seven new products in total will be released in the first half of the year, including racers, gliders and trucks in a streamlined and modern design.

“The new design parts emphasize our aspiration to set the benchmark and to further promote the creativity of young constructers”, says fischertechnik Managing Director Marcus Keller.

With the ADVANCED Racers (11.95 Euro, available from March) and the ADVANCED Gliders construction kits (11.95 Euro, available from March), fischertechnik is introducing three new small racing cars (50 parts) and space gliders (60 parts) per set which will take the pole position in every child’s room thanks to their new design parts. Strong and heavy vehicles such as tipper trucks and tow trucks can be built with the ADVANCED Trucks construction kit (390 parts, 69.95 Euro, available from March), which also contains new design parts.

The ADVANCED BT Racing Set could prove to be a bestseller (179.95 Euro, available from May), which includes a Bluetooth control set: three streamlined racing cars with suspension can be built and remote-controlled via remote or smart phone.

Programming beginners can construct easy-to-understand models such as a hand dryer or a conveyor belt with punch press with the 380-part ROBOTICS BT Smart Beginner Set (179.95 Euro, available from March), which can be programmed by PC or tablet.

The new PLUS Bluetooth Control Set allows motorized models to be remote-controlled via Bluetooth (79.95 Euro, available from March).

The Bluetooth Control Set features an increased range and a more reliable radio connection than the classic infrared control, which is being replaced.

The colorful fischerTIPs creative material made of potato starch will turn magical in the coming year: the fischer TiP Unicorn 600 themed bucket which includes instructions and 600 TiPs allows children aged 3 and up to dive into a world of legends and fairytales and build one of the most popular mythical creatures of our time: the unicorn. The bucket is available from February and is priced at 9.95 Euro.

Thanks to the Education Line, which includes products for use in schools, fischertechnik has seen increased growth in the German school and apprenticeship market. Internationally, fischertechnik is growing in Asia (China, Taiwan, Hong Kong), the Middle East and Africa in particular.
