The construction kit by the toy manufacturer “Made in Germany” means building, programming, having fun and understanding. The BT Smart Beginner Set is designed for children ages eight and up and is a complete set. This means that beginners can get started immediately – the set contains everything the robotics heart desires. It includes 380 parts, including two sensors (two photo transistors, two push buttons), actuators (two XS motors, two LED light barriers) as well as a BT Smart Controller unit.

Twelve exciting models can be built with the simple instructions, including a carousel, a gate, a conveyor belt with punch press, mobile caterpillar models, traffic lights, a lighthouse and a hand dryer. The young constructors can programme the function of the models themselves.

Programming can be done via the easy-to-understand ROBO Pro Light graphic software, which is available as a free download for PC and Android Tablets. Didactic learning material can additionally be accessed on www.fischertechnik-elearning.com, which gives a thorough explanation on how to program the models with ROBO Pro Light. The BT Smart Controller meanwhile allows the programmed models to be controlled via PC or tablet through the Bluetooth technology. The controller has four inlets for sensors and two outputs for motors and lamps as well as a USB and Bluetooth 4.0 interface.
