The FLS allows lightweight loads to be installed in a particularly easy and secure manner, whether it be pipes with small diameters or ventilation and electrical mountings that are frequently installed in residential and commercial buildings. The system consists of three main elements: the channel system FLS and cantilever arms ALK, the pre-assembled construction element saddle flange SF Clix 31 and angle bracket MW Clix 90° as well as the optimised connector elements FHS Clix, FSM Clix M, FSM Clix P and corresponding angle and channel connectors. The FLS can be used both vertically and horizontally.

With its components the system is predestined to be used for wall and ceiling applications and can be secured to all construction materials depending on the anchor. The channel is available in heights of 17, 30 and 37 mm, each with a width of 31 mm. The four corner beads and the channel’s teeth provide a firm hold to the construction elements in addition to optimal load transfer. Scaling helps precisely cut the channels to size and to position the connectors. Alternating slots with a width of 8.5 mm or 10.5 mm provide an optimal fixing in the anchoring substrate.

The special channel geometry and sophisticated pre-assembled connecting and construction elements make installation quick and easy. Users can combine the channels with one another in a fast and simple manner. More complex modules are also easy to set up, saving both time and money. Components simply lock into the channel through the “clix” mechanism. Unlike conventional channel systems, there is no need to handle multiple individual parts. The “clix” components simply need to be placed on the channel before being rotated by 90° on the pre-assembled fastener. Simple installations can therefore be carried out by just one fitter. Measurements have demonstrated that the FLS is significantly easier to install than common alternatives available on the market.

Using pre-assembled components such as the saddle flange SF Clix 31 and the angle bracket MW Clix 90° can therefore lead to a time reduction of up to 70%.  The optimised connecting elements lead to 50% faster installation. These include the sliding channel nut FSM Clix P, the channel connector SV 31 and the angle bracket MWU 90°, for example. The system remains flexible yet stable until the screw is tightened. Plastic spring legs on the Clix components allow the connecting elements to be easily adjusted.

The Clix component FHS Clix for pipe clamps secures the connection in the channel system with its teeth. The special stop
element of the FMS Clix M enables its precise and error-free 90° rotation. Once it has clicked into the channel, the pipe clamp and corresponding threaded rod can be attached to the Clix element. The FSM Clix P enables simple and form-fit installation with its ergonomic retaining brackets. The disappearing thrust block provides a safe metallic connection.

The multifunctionality of the components is worth highlighting, as it allows components such as channel connectors  to be used both as a connecting element between two channels or as a t-piece connector. This considerably reduces the number of necessary components while maintaining the same high level of flexibility. This makes the FLS system more economic overall as it requires fewer parts to be procured and stored, unlike competitor’s solutions. The system is also fire-proof and can therefore also be used in emergency escape routes.

The practical accessories include a cutting tool that is unique to the industry and enables all three FLS channels to be cut down to the required size in order to be processed for installation. This permits simple burr-free cutting rather than sawing the channel system profile, preventing the need for complex and time-consuming refinishes to the edges. The cutting process prevents falling shavings that are caused by sawing and therefore keeps the working environment clean. The ready-to-use manual tool is also virtually noise-free. The openings in the cutting tool correspond to the profile and therefore avoid incorrect use in the long term.

The fischer channel system FLS with its accessories therefore enables safe and simple assembly as well as flexibility and cost effectiveness when installing service ducts in housing construction.
