The Chinese technology giant Huawei is heavily investing in its future. Spread over 14 buildings, the currently constructed R&D Center in Suzhou, about 100 miles to the west of Shanghai, includes more than 750,000 square meters. The modern complex is located in the Sangtian Island of Suzhou, which is also known as the “Silicon Valley” of China. The total investment of the project amounts to 2.6 billion euros. The R&D compound will contain offices, staff housing, canteens, commercial and other supporting facilities. After completion, the construction can accommodate up to 10,000 employees for work and living.
In the project, a total of 1.4 million ZYKON panel anchors fischer FZP II A4 M8 and 200,000 ZYKON undercut anchors fischer FZA 12x40 M8/15 N A4 are being applied to fix the stone cladding while the curtain wall sub-frame are being fixed with 50,000 units of the resin capsule fischer RM II. All buildings are inspired by European architecture. Various shapes of stone decoration were made with chamfer, arc boards and other special types of granites. They can be found in the columns from bottom to top, the porch, the cornice and in the pattern around the windows.
