The new plastic hook is a particularly flexible and secure method of hanging or attaching things around the home. The wide range of products allows shelves, lamps, pictures, mirrors, hanging baskets, washing lines, signs and much more to be fastened to walls or ceilings. The new EasyHook range is also ideal for installing protective screens around checkout areas, for instance.
With its glass-fibre reinforced plastic, the hooks can carry heavy loads of up to 80 kilogrammes per fastening point depending on the substrate. This provides a secure hold even on heavy furnishings such as floating shelves. The screw provides the EasyHook with additional stability by running along its entire shaft. Unlike conventional screw hooks with a small diameter, the plastic hook does not bend and retains its shape and full load-bearing capacity.
The EasyHook range transforms screws into round, eye or angle hooks and is simple and easy to install. The screw is pushed through the EasyHook and inserted with a screwdriv-er or cordless screwdriver. The hook should not be held at this point. The ideal screw guidance makes it easier to use. By contrast, conventional screw hooks are installed with pliers, which is painstaking and can cause the user to easily slip and scratch the hook.
The EasyHook can be used in any conventional construction material. The plastic hooks can be installed with the DuoPower plug which independently activates the suitable function in solid, hollow and panel construction materials by expanding, folding or knotting. The accompanying chipboard screw allows the hook to be used directly in wood without a plug and with no need for any predrilling. The hooks can also be quickly and easily dismantled using a screwdriver or cordless screwdriver.
Additional technical ingenuities increase the level of flexibility and ease of use. The EasyHook loosens at its predetermined breaking point with a counter-clockwise rotation, allowing it to be readjusted and tightened. The advantages compared to alternative solutions are evident, as conventional screw hooks can be pointing in the wrong direction after installation. When DIYers align them vertically, they still often do not end up sitting flush with the anchor substrate. Because of the solid disc at the end, referred to as a shoulder, they can not be screwed in any further nor can they be positioned correctly. The EasyHook on the other hand can be rotated, adjusted and fastened due to its predetermined breaking point, meaning it always sits flush with the surface.
When it comes to conventional screw hooks, the shoulder also determines the distance to the wall and ceiling. This is not the case with the EasyHook, which can be placed at different depths within the construction material thanks to its various screw-in depths and long shaft, allowing variable wall and ceiling distances. This allows all kinds of furnishing and living accessories to be hung with the respective hook opening. The shaft of the round and eye hook can simply be broken off by hand when being installed in wood. Another trick to remove the front part: Simply insert the screw tip into the cone and press down.
With its modern design, the EasyHook is also visually impressive. A special notch in the plastic ensures that the screw head ends flush with the outer surface of the hook, while a cover ring on the round and eye hooks provide a clean finish for the drill hole, contributing to a visually appealing design. An additional cover cap is available for the round and eye hooks which can easily be placed on the screw head, providing a distinguished look.
