The right lighting elevates rented or owned property. Ceiling lights are the most important source of indoor light when it gets dark, catering to various tastes as stylistic elements in multiple designs. The right fastening is crucial to ensure the lights permanently stay in place.

Fulfilling a fundamental requirement in feeling at home, ceiling lights are the most popular source of light to brighten up rooms as soon as the sun sets. Flat LED panels, pendant lights or adjustable spotlights, there are multiple designs to suit every taste. The other thing to consider is that cold lighting improves concentration and performance, while warm light contributes to a relaxed atmosphere. Dimmable lighting and a selection of colour temperatures are ideal in rooms used for multiple purposes, such as living rooms or kid’s rooms.

If an old lamp is replaced, the existing fastening point can be used or a new plug hole can be created. Unused holes can be sealed with a repair filler such as the fischer Fill & Fix. The filled surface can subsequently be painted over. When lamps are initially installed in rooms they can be mounted according to the furnishing requirements. For example, lamps can be attached over the centre of the dining table and pendant lights should not be installed so that they block the view of the television. Installing a wall lamp that directs the light towards the ceiling is another particularly interesting feature. Painted in bright colours, this provides a large, softly shimmering light without a blinding effect.

The combination between the anchor, screw, existing anchoring substrate and the weight that the fastening is subjected to is crucial to the safe installation of ceiling lights. fischer DuoPower is a safe and practical choice for attaching lamps. With its three functions, it can be used in any conventional anchor substrate. The plug activates the ideal function in solid, hollow or board materials by folding, expanding or knotting. The DuoPower is simply inserted into the drill hole using either pre or push-through installation, then the fixture simply needs to be screwed on – and done. The fischer EasyHook range is a practical helper for hanging light fixtures. The round, eye or angle hooks are placed as an adapter on the screw head, which can then be installed directly in wood or any other conventional construction material together with the fischer DuoPower plug.

Toggle anchors are particularly suitable for board materials with cavities, such as suspended ceilings. The fischer DuoTec supports high shear and tensile loads by expanding behind the panel and can also be used as a regular expansion anchor in solid construction materials, if required. It is simple and easy to install: The fischer DuoTec is pre-positioned in the drill hole and the toggle element automatically expands behind the panel. Now all that’s left to do is to screw on the fixture. The toggle element is connected to a grip which is used to guide the plug into the drill hole. The collar sleeve located on the grip is used to firmly and securely fasten the DuoTec, allowing the fixture to be installed.

Providing the right lamps are selected, this will allow you to shed light onto everything around the home. The right fastening ensures that nothing will come down from the ceiling apart from the lighting of your choice.
