fischer’s ULTRACUT FBS II is suitable for countless wood construction and carpenter applications – whether it be installing support beams, frame elements or roof purlins. Timber-framed structures can also be safely anchored with the concrete screw. The fixing solution furthermore allows joint and beam anchorages commonly used in wood construction to be created with ease. Depending on its diameter, the fischer ULTRACUT FBS II is also approved for many different anchoring depths that correspond to the respective existing load with maximum loads according to the chosen anchoring depth. Different wood component thicknesses can also be processed using fisher’s broad range of concrete screws. Another advantage of the ULTRACUT FBS II is that it can be reused in certain conditions. The fischer ULTRACUT FBS II can therefore be used multiple times with temporary fixings, for instance with formwork in concrete construction. This also applies to fresh concrete with a strength of just 10 N/mm². A measuring sleeve can test the wear of the thread and ensure it still works sufficiently.

The ULTRACUT FBS II R is one of the latest additions to the range of products. Made out of stainless steel, the screw is suitable for use in wet rooms and outdoors, making it ideal for outdoor components or wood canopies. With its specially hardened red tip, the Ultracut FBS II R makes installation faster and easier. Another new addition is the ULTRACUT FBS II with a 6-mm diameter for multiple anchorings of non load-bearing systems. The FBS II 6 also has an Option 1 approval for individual fastenings in concrete. The reduced drill hole depth minimises drilling effort as well as the risk of hitting reinforcements – while simultaneously saving time and costs.

The range of products is completed by the high-performance zinc-plated ULTRACUT FBS II, a popular classic among fischer’s concrete screws. The assessment (ETA) guarantees safety during all applications with the zinc-plated or R variant in concrete and includes the fire resistance class R 120. Most variants also include coverage for the seismic performance categories C1 and C2.

fischer’s concrete screws cover a broad range of applications through their various diameters of 6 to 14 mm in the zinc-plated versions and 8 to 12 mm in the stainless steel (R) versions. The patented thread geometry and the large core diameter guarantee the absorption of high tensile and shear loads in concrete, allowing many applications to be carried out with just a few fixing points. The flanks of the FBS II cut deep into the concrete when being inserted. This fit allows the fixing to reliably transfer loads while anchoring itself in the substrate without expanding. It also enables low edge and axial spacing for safe and easy installation. The FBS II can be unscrewed, lined and readjusted up to two times without being damaged in compliance with regulations. The ribs under the head prevent the concrete screw from unintentionally loosening. No further drill hole cleaning is required during vertical drilling in floors and ceilings or when using hollow drills with vacuum functions.

Overall, fischer always offers the right ULTRACUT FBS II for any fixing task with its head shapes, zinc-plated and stainless steel variants, multiple fixings and many more.
