“It was a first-rate professional congress with attendees from all over the world. We were able to present our company, our products and our services to the expert audience. It was important for us to demonstrate that we can also offer solutions for the tunnel construction industry. This led to interesting conversations with experts, with whom we were able to establish and develop valuable contacts”, states Uwe Hilmert, Head of Project Technology and Segments at the fischer Group of Companies.

fischer’s trade fair booth saw lively discussions between fischer’s experts and visitors of the congress. The company presented a selection of its innovations and classic products and services for tunnel construction to an audience of professionals at the Megaron Athens International Conference Centre (MAICC) in Athens.

The visitors showed a great deal of interest in digitalisation in particular. In addition to fischer’s sensor-integrated products, the high-tech fischer SensorDisc washer and the SensorAnchor anchor rod, the visitors were also very interested in the new fischer BauBot robot. fischer also offers connected planning and control services along buildings’ entire life cycles with Building Information Modelling (BIM), which also caught the interest of the congress visitors. fischer also exhibited its FiXperience software at the booth, which allows fixing solutions for entire projects and individual applications to be planned with precision and efficiency. Many visitors wanted to find out more about the fischer FNA II nail anchor, the fischer cast-in channel system, as well as fischer installation systems. fischer’s experts also held in-depth discussions about sustainability with visitors to the congress. In addition to this, there were lots of conversations about our fischer FIS EM Plus injection mortar, which has an assessment (ETA) that guarantees a service life of 100 years for post-installed rebar connections and anchorages in cracked concrete. An external, independent assessment by Stuttgart’s IEA has even confirmed a service life of up to 120 years.

The products that were displayed included innovations and classics. fischer’s fixing and system solutions made of stainless and highly corrosion-resistant steel are suitable for highly corrosive atmospheres often or temporarily found in road and rail tunnels. They are also safe in the event of fire as well as in case of fatigue, seismic and impact influences.
