The FLS system enables the economic and safe assembly of horizontal and vertical installations. Its modular setup means it is easy and quick to assemble in the preassembled construction and connection elements of the plant.

The variable channel system consists of three main elements in total: the channel FLS and the cantilever arm ALK, the pre-assembled construction elements saddle flange SF Clix 31 and angle bracket MW Clix 90° as well as the optimized connector elements FHS Clix, FSM Clix M, FSM Clix P and the corresponding brackets and channel connectors.

The FLS channels are the central element for installation. Its unique shape with serration and seams give the construction elements a particularly stable hold. The serration in the channel ensures optimal fixing and force introduction. The seams in all four corners guarantee the best hold for the construction elements in the channel, while the scale enables the exact trimming and positioning of additional parts. Thee heights are available for the 31 mm-wide FLS channels and the cantilever arms: 17 mm, 30 mm, 37 mm. The material thickness is 1 mm – 1.2 mm.

The Clix elements can easily be attached through a 90°movement, allowing for quick and time-saving installation. Plastic spring limbs on the clix elements allow easy movement and adjustment of the connection elements to which the pipe clamps are attached for installation, amongst others.

The individual system components are clearly labelled. Their origin can easily be traced through the engraved code on the channels, for example. The item descriptions are adapted to the existing medium-heavy channel system FUS.

The new light channel system FLS is not compatible with the previous fischer channel system, which will be taken off the market in the coming months. The FLS can be used as a channel attachment for pipes on the floor, the ceiling or they it be suspended for ventilation channel fixings for example, or as a rack with multiple levels. The cantilever arms for direct wall fixings are used for attaching pipes or cable runs, for example.

The fire test report according to MLAR/ EN1363-1 on FLS 37 and the ALK 37 will be available from February 2017. The FLS system meets the R 30 - R 120 requirement. The INSTALL-FIX module of the fischer FIXPERIENCE Software is available for designing the FLS system.

Further information on the function of the new light channel system can be seen in an animation on fischer’s YouTube channel.
