The Beijing Sub-Center will be located in the Tongzhou District. This covers an area of 155 km2, of which six km2 alone is envisaged for administration. Access to work, education, utilities, social facilities and living space should be secured here. In addition, careful use of resources plays a large role. Overall, a society should be created, which is both entrepreneurial and liveable.

The stone curtain walls of the new government building were attached using plate anchors. For these are earthquake-safe and can be replaced and calibrated simply. fischer was chosen as the supplier of the panel anchors. The planners trust the brand because it enjoys a very good reputation around the world thanks to its premium product and full service.

Additionally, the ACT SytemTec products are approved domestically and abroad – for example by the European ETA and the CE mark. An independent testing agency in China carried out additional tests on earthquake safety, pull-out and shearing tests, a chemical analysis and neutral salt-spray tests. As the design took form, fischer and the façade engineers performed mechanical tests. Ultimately, the products fulfil every single tender requirement. The curtain wall can be fitted securely and permanently to the subframe system so that the stone remains stable even under wind pressure and in earthquakes.

The fischer Zykon-Panel Anchor FZP II is suitable for higher load capacities and breaking loads than standard systems, as well as for strong dynamic loads. Invisible from outside, it allows the expansion pressure-free assembly in natural stone. FZP II anchors are fitted individually in every panel, as a result of which each of them carries its load independently. This removes the danger of uncertain pressures that are caused by connections. The fischer Zykon-Panel Anchor FZP-II anchor is made from stainless steel (A4). The fischer FZA undercut anchors were used for the undercut fixing of the façade panels. The expansion pressure-free installation using form fit allows a high load transfer at low depths, small edge and axis distances, and a flexible use.

"The specific mission, the short lead times and the large order quantity made the project a great challenge for us", summarises Zhang Yisong, sales manager at fischer China. "We therefore prepared all the company divisions to cooperate seamlessly and smoothly. This is how Sales, Technology, Logistics, Quality Control and other necessary stations dovetailed."

The professional support from the fischer Technology Team impressed the project manager. "The fischer application engineers helped us for a month to create the drill holes and fixing implants on the stone plates. They offered training, advice and always the right solution for the correct processing of the plate anchors." As a result the quality of the building was secured.
