The response from almost 13,000 craftspeople, traders and hardware store customers has consistently been very positive. This is also reflected in the ratings given by the training participants. When filling out the evaluation sheet after their visit they gave an average school grade of 1.33. With 842 training participants in 2016, the original target number of 400 participants was more than doubled.

The target group for the mobile training sessions and exhibitions includes professional craftspeople and traders, but also people who enjoy DIY. The focus of the roadshow is training sessions for professionals, however. Small learning groups and the teaching of contents by experienced experts guarantee a high course standard. In addition to the fischer AKADEMIE and over 70 fischer Competence Centers in Germany, the fischer TourTruck is an attractive addition to the educational fastening technology services, and is therefore a central component of fischer’s training initiative. The fischer TourTruck also presents fischertechnik and fischer TIPP with exhibits and playing stations at in-house trade fairs and appearances at hardware stores.

The fischer TourTruck consists of a truck engine and a semitrailer with a prominent print. On site, the trailer is expanded lengthways and vertically. This creates more floor space and an additional floor. An optional outer area for events expands its potential uses.

The ground floor, which expands in two directions, is used specifically for training and presentations and/or exhibitions. The room measures 7.80 meters by 7.85 meters (approximately 61 square meters) and invites visitors to try out fischer products. Fold-out tables and flexible trolleys are available for appealingly displaying fixing systems at roadshows and trade fairs. The rear wall of the ground floor features appliances with various construction materials. Here various fischer fixing products can be tried out under realistic conditions. The top floor of the trailer is equipped with a wall screen and is used for theory training. It can seat up to 15 people at tables. In addition to the top floor monitor, the ground floor features a second monitor that is integrated into the wall with the construction materials.

The fischer TourTruck is touring across various German locations until August 2017, when it will tour other European countries for four years.
