Quick and flexible connections in wood construction

Wood is more popular than ever in construction, be it in prefab homes or multistorey buildings. This is due in part to the material’s developments, such as metal enrichment, as well as its excellent ecological balance, cost-effectiveness and insulating properties for the creation of a healthier living environment. The fixing specialist fischer has now launched the new PowerFast II wood construction screw with a European Technical Assessment (ETA) for particularly safe, quick and flexible wood processing.

Secure anchors at dizzying heights

Drilling and placing anchorages at dizzying heights in the Alpine mountain landscape are just some of the extreme tasks of the climbers of Baden-Württemberg’s German Alpine Association Youth Group (Jugend des Deutschen Alpenvereins, JDAV). Experts from the JDAV restored a climbing crag in the Gotthard Massif in July of this year. Over the course of the restoration, five additional routes were added. fischer’s heavy-duty fixings made of steel and chemical components were used to anchor safety hooks into the rock face. fischer’s Quattric II drill proved its worth while creating drill holes in extremely hard granite.

fischer undercut anchor FSU

The fischer Group of Companies has launched its new undercut anchor FSU for fastenings in concrete that require a particularly high load and safety level. In addition to its performance characteristics, the latest addition to fischer’s range of products offers added advantages through secure and convenient installation thanks to self-undercutting. By launching the FSU, fischer is taking another major step in the digitalisation of fastenings, as the anchor is fischer’s first product to feature an integrated DMC (Data Matrix Code) to identify and read product data.
