Secure anchors at dizzying heights

Drilling and placing anchorages at dizzying heights in the Alpine mountain landscape are just some of the extreme tasks of the climbers of Baden-Württemberg’s German Alpine Association Youth Group (Jugend des Deutschen Alpenvereins, JDAV). Experts from the JDAV restored a climbing crag in the Gotthard Massif in July of this year. Over the course of the restoration, five additional routes were added. fischer’s heavy-duty fixings made of steel and chemical components were used to anchor safety hooks into the rock face. fischer’s Quattric II drill proved its worth while creating drill holes in extremely hard granite.
